The National University of Science and Technology (NUST)'s Agro-Industrial Park in Bulilima District, Matabeleland South, is now 95 percent complete, bringing the project closer to full operation.
Speaking during the institution's 32nd Graduation Ceremony in Bulawayo yesterday, Vice Chancellor Professor Mqhele Dlodlo said the project, which will focus on livestock, aquaculture, and horticulture, is expected to boost rural industrialisation, create jobs, and open up new markets for communities in the area.
Government is transforming the education system through Heritage-Based Education 5.0 to produce practical, innovative, and entrepreneurial graduates who can meet industry needs. The approach seeks to strengthen links between universities, industry, and communities, while promoting local production, job creation, and industrialisation.
